Remaining Open in Lockdown

Sports Massage Therapy is now seen as an essential health care service and can remain open throughout the second lockdown.

This is a huge move for the industry as the past 20 years Sports Massage has been seen as a ‘spa’ service and segregated from our follow Physio’s and Osteopaths. Now Sports Therapists of a Level 4 or Level 5 qualification are seen on the same level and are able to remain open for the second Covid19 Lockdown for healthcare purposes.

To remain Covid Secure and keep in line with government guidelines there are some new measures that must be put into place.

New Booking Procedure

Treatments are only available to those with a healthcare need. To assess if you fit the criteria for an in person appointment, a phone consultation is needed before a treatment can be booked.  Here is what you need to do;

1. Book a phone consultation with me through the website.

2. On this call, we will discuss you needs and assess if you fit the criteria for an in person appointment.

The criteria for an in person appointment is;

Unbearable pain levels.

Inability to perform activities of daily living.

Inability to sleep.

Inability to work (frontline workers)

3. If you fit the above criteria, you will be sent a private link to book your Sports Massage and complete all relevant forms including a Covid19 health form.

4. At your in person appointment all our current Covid Measures will be followed to keep you safe including; full PPE, temperature check, deep cleaned clinic, hand sanitising. Find out about all our Covid19 measures here.
